Easter Eggstravaganza At Clifford Grange
In March, Residents of Clifford Grange and Forum Housing got together to hold a fun day at Clifford Grange. Volunteers armed with litter pickers and other gardening implements set to work around the gardens to carry out a series of environmental improvements. Hanging baskets were hung up at the front of the building, bird boxes have been positioned at various locations, and after a delicious lunch, courtesy of Plant Construction Ltd, the day ended with a quiz. Won by Josie Maddocks and June Ormrod. After the event, many of the residents expressed their enjoyment of the day and were looking forward to another opportunity to meet up with the residents of Forum.

Early Festive Fayre for Successful Team
Wirral Council were thanked for their important backing for the grant funding which enabled a first phase of improvements to be completed at Clifford Grange in Tranmere, with tea and mince pies from Mary a tenant in one of the refurbished flats. Thanks were also extended to Mike Turner representing the contractor, Lovell who were responsible for delivering the physical improvements funded by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). It was a return visit for Wirral`s Head of Housing, Ian Platt, who had visited the scheme (originally built in 1979) prior to a bid being made to the HCA and who was instrumental in helping Wirral Methodist secure funding for the ?920,000 project. Refurbished flats have been extended and knocked together to give more spacious accommodation better suited for modern expectations. Mary had made a special effort to decorate her flat with Christmas decorations and made her visitors warmly welcome. She told them that she loved her `new` flat. Chief Executive, Alun Hughes said, "It is really pleasing that Ian and Lisa can have the opportunity to see for themselves, the difference that can be made to individual`s lives as a result of their support for our work". A decision is currently awaited from the HCA on whether support for a second phase of works to complete the remodelling of the accommodation is possible.
