New Homes

As an organisation we are committed to adapting to the ever changing needs of our local area. We can see high demand for certain property types to match the need of our community, and as such we are aiming to develop properties that meet these needs.

The development team works on the day-to-day delivery of each housing scheme with WMHA acting as the client employing a range of partners to help develop new homes for both rent and shared ownership.

The main functions of the development team are to project manage the delivery of each development from purchasing the land or building through to completion of the new or refurbished homes.

Withens Lane

  • 2 x 2 bed 3 person houses and 2 x 3 bed 4 person houses
  • 6 x 1 bed 2 person bungalows
  • All units are due to handover at the end of February/start of March
  • The bungalows respond to the identified local need for this type of accommodation, they will be allocated to people over the age of 55
  • The bungalows all have wet rooms to allow residents to live independently in their own home for longer
  • With great access links to local schools and the town center, the houses will make great family homes and will add to an already thriving community

New Chester Road

  • 15 x 1 bed apartments over three floors
  • All units will be handed over by April
  • The ground floor apartments all benefit from walk-in showers and will be allocated to people with limited mobility issues – they will also have a dual-purpose shower riser/grab rail product by Invisible Creations installed, which aims to make daily living easier and remove the need for products that are stigmatizing and have a clinical feel to them
  • One car parking space has been allocated to each apartment
  • There is also an internal bike store to support sustainable options for our residents
