Residents living in Bentinck Street, Birkenhead and surrounding streets were invited along to an event which was organised by The Stronger Communities Initiative Assembly, SureStart and Wirral Methodist Housing Association. The purpose of the event was to provide local residents with an opportunity to come together and take part in a range of fun activities and to raise awareness of the cultural diversity in Birkenhead.
With a small grant from Wirral VCAW, the event organisers were able to give residents the opportunity to sample authentic food from Continental Europe, provided by WirralChange, (Black and Racial Minorities Outreach Service), and join PCSO`s in European themed games and competitions and art and craft activities.
