Monks Ferry Festival Brings The Crowds to Woodside

Published 8th May 2018

The fantastic Liverpool waterfront provided the backdrop to our recent Monks Ferry Festival.

Artists were on hand to help festival-goers make wonderful flying birds of all colours shapes and sizes, whilst other  artists worked with visitors to create magical sea creatures from recycled pop bottles.

Local band Eden played well known hits from all the decades, whilst the Razzle Dazzle ferry sailed back and forth across the River Mersey.

Bryony and Jonny helped visitors create their very own medieval wall hangings and told stories of the history of the Monks Ferry and Birkenhead Priory with Bryony accompanying the storytelling with harp playing.

Always popular…The face painter was kept busy with a constant stream of visitors wanting to have their face painted.

Wirral Methodist Housing were pleased to support The Stronger Communities Initiative Assembly in organising the Monks Ferry Festival.
