Ways To Get Involved

There are a growing number of ways in which you can get involved. These are described below. If you want to get involved, have a say, or make a comment, then either complete the `Have your Say` form on the downloadable form at the bottom of the page, or contact the Community Liaison Officer by calling 0151 647 5471 or e-mailing jill@wmhaltd.org.uk



Every now and again we will send you things through the post such as new policies we are suggesting or new leaflets. We will ask you to read through them let us know if they are easy to understand and make suggestions for any improvements.

Become a Member of Our Telephone Panel:

From time to time we will ring you to discuss/consult with you about a specific issue we need your views on. This is a convenient way of having your say.

Join a Focus Group:

A focus group is a one off meeting to look and discuss a specific issue. We will inform you before hand what issue we wish you to look at, and if you are interested in the subject and want to be involved, we will make the necessary arrangements for you to join us. Meetings last no longer than 2 hours and all transport costs and out of pocket expenses will be paid (we will also provide refreshments).

Have a Face to Face Interview:

(For tenants who have difficulty getting out and about). We want to try to be as flexible as possible, therefore when we need to consult with you regarding any matter, a member of staff will call to your home and listen to your views. We will make an appointment to suit you.

Help Us With Our Newsletter `TOPICS`:

The TOPICS Newsletter is sent out 3 times a year to all residents. Its includes association news and local interest stories. Residents can become involved in the production of the newsletter by joining the editorial panel or writing articles for our newsletter, we would welcome any stories, letter, poems, tips, comments or suggestions.

Start Up a Tenants/Residents Group:

If you feel your neighbourhood would benefit from a properly constituted Tenant/ Resident group, we can help. We can offer advice, training and start up grants.

Instant Feedback:

Write, talk, Email or text! We will contact you using your prefered method so you can provide useful instant feedback.

Window Monitors:

Have a look out of your window and let us know how our landscape contractors are doing or let us know what needs attention such as dumped items.

Estate Inspections:

Housing Officers and Maintenance Officers carryout regular inspections in many locations- let us know if you want to join them.

Customer Comment Cards:

Available from Scheme Managers at Sheltered Housing Schemes, the Main Office or upon request by residents unable to visit the office. It allows you to tell us what you think of our services and gives you an opportunity to bring a specific issue to our attention.

Home Visits and One 2 One Interviews:

Any resident can request a home visit . All residents can discuss any aspect of our service with the appropriate officer. Officers may also speak to the residents on an individual basis where there have been particular problems to give the resident the opportunity to comment on where the service could be improved.

Neighbourhood Events:

Organised and funded by Wirral Methodist Housing Association gives the opportunity to discuss any issues that tenants wish to raise with staff.
