After the closing date the landlord will look at all the people who have shown interest in their property. The person who has the most need, is the closest match, and has been registered longest may be asked to attend an interview at their office.

The landlord will need some personal information, at this point, to help them decide if the home you have applied for is suitable for you and your family. A credit check and references may be carried out, with permission, and you may then be invited to view and sign up for the property. Having rent arrears or neighbour nuisance issues may stop you being offered a Tenancy.
